Our guests can experience celebrations and festivities such as the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (Mawlid an-Nabi), the Muslim holy month of fasting and prayer - Ramadan, celebrations such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Coptic Christmas, Coptic Easter and Sham el-Nessim - the festival of spring in Egypt. In the capital of Egypt, Cairo, the biggest celebrations take place. However, in smaller towns the celebrations are more private and are centered around the family.

All Muslim holidays are movable holidays and are 10-11 days earlier each year. The Coptic Easter and Sham el-Nessim holidays are also movable feasts. The spring festival in Egypt falls on the Monday immediately after the Coptic Easter. Coptic Easter and Sham el-Nessim take place in late March, April or early May. Coptic Christmas always falls on January 7th, as in the Orthodox Church.
