Inside Egypt babysat us from first contact to final good-by at the airport. We had multiple emails with details of our trip and information about items such as money, weather, clothes, electricity, visas, laundry.... We were well prepared for our journey. The Inside Egypt rep met us in the airport, took us through customs, getting luggage and then by private van to our hotel located before the pyramids.
The attention to details and planning was thorough and complete. Mustafa, our logistics coordinator, kept us running smoothly and unaware of any glitches. He noticed and took care of every need. Hussein, our Egyptologist and great story teller, shared unlimited knowledge with fun and enthusiasm. We could not stump him and gained an appreciation for Egypt, its culture and history. These two made a wonderful team and accompanied us the entire time becoming part of our family.
We loved having a small group of 9 with exclusive private access to the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx. The highlight of our trip was sitting between the paws of the Sphinx listening to Dr. Ashr Mohie El-Din, Director of the Giza Plateau.
Accommodations and meals were mostly 5 star and buses were modern, comfortable and clean with unbelievably skilled professional drivers. The Egyptian people were warm and welcoming, expressing appreciation for tourists who provide needed support for the economy.
This is an amazing active adventure for the physically fit, not a relaxing leisurely vacation. Touring areological sites is not handicap friendly and requires much walking over uneven ground, many many stairs, some narrow and low passages and offers no elevators. I thoroughly enjoyed it, took every opportunity to see everything offered and took myself beyond exhaustion. My husband wisely stayed on the boat or in the hotel room for multiple excursions he knew he could not handle. I highly recommend a trip to Egypt and cannot praise Inside Egypt enough for their meticulous planning, unexcelled customer service, and total VIP experience provided. We were totally pampered and spoiled.

EGYPT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE, My husband and I were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and decided to take our dream trip to Egypt to see all the ancient sites! We were amazed by the care the team at InsideEgypt took with every single part of our trip. From the pre-planning emails back and forth with Thammie -to arriving in Egypt and meeting Hossam and Mohamed, who are a dynamite team, and all the amazing drivers/people we met along the way. Mohamed’s passion for all things Egypt is contagious and makes you want to spend every second learning more about Egypt past and present! We had such an amazing adventure and it was all due to this AMAZING team at InsideEgypt!!! Honestly, my husband and I never take guided trips, but for Egypt we thought it would be important due to how much history and information there is to learn about all the ancient sites we visited. I have to say we we went with the right place! Hands down InsideEgypt is who you should select if you are thinking about going to Egypt and want to learn/explore all there is to see!!! We were recently on a tour of Egypt and had decided to arrive early to settle in with lthe local time zone. We were looking for a few low key things to do to start our Egyptian experiences.
Day 1 Met up with Mustafa , Medhut & Mohammad at 11am for our GEM excursion to be followed up by dinner on the Nile in a small boat.
Once again, crazy driving in Cairo streets on way to GEM, but Mohammad safely got us there.
First sight was pyramids was amazing, rising up over the city scape. Lots of construction still at the GEM. Security check points where the guards circled the van with a mirror looking under the van for potential issues.
The size of the GEM is decieving but simply massive. The 40 foot statue of Ramses II is dwarfed by the immense scale of the lobby.
Many were taking pictures or having their pictures taken in front of him. I managed to mistep and almost fell into the pool of water surrounding him. Scared my husband and the guides who now proceded to warn me of steps....
12 galleries full of statues, sarcophagi, tools, items of daily living and more. We were guided by Medhut to see highlights which took almost 3 hours. We had some free time to grab a small bite at Starbucks & to charge our phones before heading back to Giza for our next excursion.
BUT first had to shop in the museum gift shop for a beautiful scarf. Prices were reasonable.
Then off to Cafelucca for private dinner on boat with Medhut who explained the Mediterranean foods to us.
He has had an interesting professional history. We were then entertained by our waiting who sang and played the tambourine. Jim tried it also.
Back to Four Seasons to rest and recharge, but first a walk around the attached First Mall of luxury high end stores, followed by a bite at Char Burger of Chicago Hot Dog & Chicken Tenders.
Day 2 Our excursions today were to head to Saqqara to see Tomb of Horemheb and the Serapeum. We met up with Mustafa & Medhut who had a new driver (forgot his name, something with an A, perhaps Ahmed).
We arrived to Saqqara in a hour and headed off towards Tomb of Horemheb. We were treated to a surprise entry to Tomb of Maya. Great friezes on the walls. Tomb is rarely opened, so there was a musty odor. It was well preserved considering it's age.
Then we went to Tomb of Horemheb which was next door. It had been pillaged in the past and many statues, stellas & friezes were missing. The pillars were mostly intact. Many great scenes of prisoners, of Horemheb & his wife and the gods.
Quick ride to Serapeum, right pass the Step Pyramid of Djoser and the collapsed Pyramid. We declined pictures with camels, rides on camels and buying of scarves.
The saracophigi were massive and very impressive. How did they get them down to the tunnels and niches???
Lunch at Tasty House was buffet style. Great selection. Hate to say it was the best meal we had so far.
Dropped back off at hotel where we said our goodbyes to Mustafa and Medhut. Back to room to rest before looking for dinner.
Early night as we meet up with our tour group at 830a to start our travels.

Incredible tour, well organized. Every single detail was taken in account, visits, rests, foods, and the will of the group.
Excellent job done by the egyptologist guide and the tour leader were the ones that made the tour interesting, educational and perfectly well organized and scedulled. No worries and trouble free vacation. Many out of the program visits that enriched the tour and our travel experience. Great Team and tour organized.

What a fantastic vacation. Inside Egypt is the way to go. I took thee 14 day trip with the Nile cruise. Before the trip our contact person Thammie answered all our questions and concerns immediately. In Egypt we had on our tour Walid who was the Egyptologist. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer. He spent much time explaining the history and what we were seeing. We also had Mostofa who was the logistics person. He planned each day. They accommodated our request even if it wasn't on the itinerary. We went to authentic restaurants where the food was fresh and delicious. Everything was arranged for us. A true vacation with no worries. I enjoyed the bazaars and stopping to have mint tea. The highlight of the trip was being able to go into the Great Pyramid before other tourists arrived. Because of Walid and Mostofa I got to experience some of the real Egypt and the people. I always felt safe. Thank you Inside Egypt for making this a trip of a lifetime.

I did the 14 days Egypt tour. It was a dream come true. Inside Egypt was first class and professional starting with Thammie who answered all our questions. Our Egyptologist, Walid, was full of information. He is passionist about Egypt. I learned so much from him. Walid has made me want to come back for another visit. We also had a tour leader, Mostafa. Mostafa took care of the logistics of the tour and made sure the trip ran smoothly. He arranged lunches and dinners, tickets to all sites were there when we arrived, changes to itinerary, wake-up calls, etc. Walid and Mostafa were there all the time and worked well together. I celebrated my birthday on the first day of the Nile cruise. I was greeted at dinner with a cake and got to dance with the ships staff. My favorite memory is the private entrance to the Great Pyramid and Sphinx Area before working hours. The lecture from Dr. Ashraf Mohie El-Din at the base of the Sphinx will not be forgotten. This was an amazing trip. I cannot say enough good things about Inside Egypt.

The trip was amazing. It was totally first class. Our guide, Mostafa, and egyptoligist, Walid, were with us at all times. They couldn't do more for us. Everything was taken care of. If we wanted to see something that wasn't on the itinerary, they made it happen. They were a great team. Walid is passionate about Egypt and taught us so much. Mostafa took care of all the logistics, getting our tickets. arranging lunch, etc. He was 100 percent attentive to all of our needs. I highly recommend this trip.
